Who we are and why we built this
Most online photo croppers ask you to upload your picture to a server before you can do anything with it. For a quick, everyday task like cropping a profile picture or resizing a screenshot, that always felt like more than necessary — both slower and a needless privacy trade-off. We built MooCrop to solve that: it uses your browser's own Canvas API to do the cropping locally, on your device, so the tool works instantly and your photos never have to leave your computer or phone.
Photos are processed on-device. Nothing is uploaded for cropping to happen.
No sign-up, no paywall, no email required to use the tool.
One page, clear controls, and a result in seconds — no clutter.
Display ads help cover hosting costs. They're clearly labeled and never mixed into the tool itself.
MooCrop is built and maintained as an independent web project. It's a static, client-side tool — there's no server-side database of user photos or accounts to manage, which keeps things simple and keeps your data out of the equation entirely. We support the cost of running the site through display advertising, which you can read more about in our Privacy Policy.
